What's In My Hospital Bag? // & What I Actually Used

Jan 30, 2015

My very first mommy-related video is up! This was so exciting to share! In this video I briefly discuss all that I took with me to the hospital for the birth of my first child. I point out essentials and what I particularly found useful (I tend to be an over-packer). I also show what the hospital provides. For any mommy-to-be, I would recommend a hospital bag to be prepared by your 37th week- as 37 weeks of pregnancy (approx.) is considered full term... and you just never know :)!

My essentials:
  • nursing bra
  • cozy socks
  • going home outfit
  • snacks
  • bobby pillow for breastfeeding
  • toiletries bag: soap, body wash, oral care, hair clip, lotion,  nipple cream, razor
  • other bag: skin care, pads (menstrual & nursing), contacts, glasses, brush, dry shampoo
  • Make-up bag: basics// foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, lip balm
  • Entertainment: MacBook Pro, iPad, Journal, Camera & all chargers
Hospital Provides:
  • mesh (one sz) panties
  • maxi pads
  • gown
  • towels
  • socks
Thank you for watching/reading!
I'd love to film more mommy related-videos! Feel free to share ideas!

2015 Update! Where Have I Been!?

Jan 25, 2015

Hello, everyone! Here's an update video of my life, where I am now, and why I've been absent on YouTube! I'm excited to film and grow as a writer and vlogger. I am so grateful for your support throughout this time and cannot believe how much my audience has grown despite my absence.

Blessings to you!
Thank you for keeping up!

Notebooks 2015

Jan 10, 2015

I am most-definitely a stationery junkie. As I had previously written in my 2015 Planner Update, I have gone for a simple method that has driven me out of Filofax and the convenience of the rings and having everything sectioned within one place. However, I am super ok with this for now. I don't want to carry anything bulkly, plus the notebooks (unless its my blog log, which can go in my laptop case), all stay home!

2015 Planner Update: What am I using now?

Jan 8, 2015

Since my pregnancy, I've fallen off the Filofax/ring planner system. It just became overwhelming over time.  I would literally carry around a separate tote with all sorts of writing utensils, labels, stickers, project life cards, hole-puncher, etc. I wore weary of this and all I craved was simplicity. I wanted to return to the classic method of planning and for me this was using a simple spiral planner with month/week at a glance and a side of notes. Sugar Paper LA (found at Target for a limited time on an annual basis) satisfied my needs and gets the job done in an excellently simplified manner. I used it throughout the course of 2014, and have repurchased their products for 2015. I could not be more pleased! Of course I miss the flexibility the rings provide, but I honestly just need to jot down appointments, pay days, payments, bills, and my tracking system works just as well in a spiral.
