Books I'm Reading This Summer

Parenting, Creativity, Writing
Ahh, reading. It wasn't until my sophomore year of high school that I fell in love with reading. I always find this ironic, because I've written obsessively since the third grade. I actually remember the book that started all for me. It was Scribbler of Dreams. It was a romance novel and nothing I'm really into, but somehow I spun out and started to literally hoard books. I'm heavily into self-help, anything that is beautifully written, and anything that triggers thinking. I love annotating everything I read because I read to learn and I learn most when I engage with the material.

As hard as it is to get this time for myself these days, I still make it a priority to savor silence and find time to indulge in reading. I have this pile for the summer, but I'll probably finish these around September. I'm also madly obsessed with reading magazines (the snippets of articles are better for my brain), and blogs. I LOVE READING BLOGS. It's like touching a little piece of someone else's mind and heart. Anyway, enjoy the video! It's not a book review, but just what I've gathered.
